Faith Community Fellowship.

through our web site, our staff will be happy to answer
your question.
What is your
mission statement?
To know Jesus and
to make Him known
... through the light of God's Word
... through the joy of praise
... through the power of prayer
... through the love
of people.
What is your ministry focus?
Our local
vision is: "To know Jesus and to make Him known" -- through the
light of God's Word, through the joy of praise, through the power of
prayer, through the love of people. We have a unique mission to
families with young children in the Mount Vernon community.
When do you gather for worship?
There are two
worship opportunities each Sunday. Our
morning worship service is at 9:30 AM and our evening worship service
is at 6:30 PM.
Details.
Nursery is provided during our worship services and during our Sunday
School hour.
Do you have programs
and activities for all members of my family?
Yes! We
offers programs and activities that are designed to assist every
member of your family to come to know the Lord and live for Him. Details.
What does your
church believe?
We believe that the
Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament, is the inspired
Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and life. We believe that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God sent to redeem the world; we love and
trust Him as the one who saves us from our sin; and with repentance and
joy we embrace Him as Lord of our life.
Our beliefs are
summarized in three ancient creeds, the Apostles', the Nicene, the
Athanasian, which are the product of hundreds of years' reflection on
the nature and work of Jesus Christ. We also use three Reformation
documents, the Belgic Confession, the Canons of Dordt and the Heidelberg
Catechism, to help us articulate the central meaning of scripture.

about what we believe.
Do you baptize both
infants and adults?
Yes. We
believe that children of Christian parents are included in God's plan
(covenant) of salvation. Therefore, infant baptism could more accurately
be called the baptism of children of Christian parents. Baptism is
a sign of God's promise and a child baptized as an infant still needs to
make a commitment at the point of belief. We also baptize
believing adults who were not baptized as children.
Details.
What denomination do
you belong to?
We are part of
the Christian Reformed denomination. This simply means that our roots
are in the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. We still hold to
the principles promoted by the Reformation:
- The Bible
alone is our authority because it is our source of knowledge of God's
will.
- Grace alone,
that is God's free gift of his love and forgiveness, restores people
to a right relationship with the Lord.
- Faith alone,
and not our best efforts at becoming good enough for God, is the way
we become God's own children.
